The Star Spangled Banner
F.S. Key

O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
what so proudly we hail'd
at the twilight's last gleaming?

Whose broad stripes and bright stars,
thro' the perilous fight,
o'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?

And the rocket's red glare,
the bombs bursting in air,
gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.

O say does that star spangled
banner yet wave,
o'er the land of the free
and the home of the brave?

America the Beautiful
K. Bates/S. Ward

O beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain.
For purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain.
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,

And crown thy good with brotherhood,
From sea to shining sea.

America
Smith/Carey

My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing.
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrim's pride,
From ev'ry mountainside
Let freedom ring.

Yankee Doodle
Traditional/Shuckbert

Yankee Doodle went to town a riding on a pony,
He stuck a feather in his cap and called it macaroni.

(Chorus)
 Yankee Doodle, keep it up,
Yankee Doodle dandy,
Mind the music and the step,
and with the girls be handy.

Fath'r and I went down to camp along with Captain Goodin'.
and there we saw the men and boys as thick as hasty puddin'

(Chorus)

There was General Washington upon a strapping stallion,
A giving orders to his men; I guess there were a million.

(Chorus)

When Johnny Comes Marching Home
P. Gilmore

When Johnny comes marching home again, Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give him a hearty welcome then, Hurrah! Hurrah!
The men will cheer the boys will shout,
The ladies they will all turn out,
And we'll shout "Hooray!" when Johnny comes marching home!

Battle Hymn of the Republic
Howe/Steffe

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored.
He hath loos'd the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword.
His truth is marching

(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat.
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat.
O be swift, my soul, to answer Him, be jubilant, my feet.
Our God is marching on.

(Chorus)

Over There
George M. Cohen

Over there, over there
send the word, send the word, over there
that the Yanks are coming
the Yanks are coming
the drums rum-tumming everywhere
So prepare, say a prayer
send the word, send the word, to beware
we'll be over, we're coming over
and we won't come back
till it's over, over there.

You're a Grand Old Flag
George M. Cohen

You're a grand old flag, you're a high flying flag;
And forever in peace may you wave;
You're the emblem of the land I love,
The home of the free and the brave.
Ev'ry heart beats true under red, white, and blue,
Where there's never a boast or brag;
Bud should auld acquaintance be forgot,
Keep your eye on the grand old flag.

This Land is Your Land
W. Guthrie

(Chorus)
This land is your land,
This land is my land
from California to the New York island,
From the red-wood forest to the Gulf Stream waters;
This land was made for you and me.

As I was walking that ribbon of highway,
I saw above me that endless skyway.
I saw below me that golden valley,
This land was made for you and me.

(Chorus)

I've roamed and rambled and I followed my footsteps
to the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts,
And all around me a voice was sounding,
This land was made for you and me.

Stars and Stripes Forever
Sousa

Hurrah for the flag of the free!
May it wave as our standard forever,
The gem of the land and the sea,
The banner of the right.
Let despots remember the day
When our fathers with mighty endeavor
proclaimed as they marched to the fray
That by their might and by their right it waves forever.

This Is My Country
Raye/Jacobs

This is my country! Land of my birth.
This is my country! Grandest on earth.

(Chorus)
I pledge thee my allegiance,
America the bold,
for This Is My Country,
to have and to hold!

God Bless America
J. Berlin

God bless America, land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
to the oceans white with foam,
God bless America, my home, sweet home.
God bless America, my home, sweet home.
