On Friday, January 22nd, Our Lady of Lourdes School had a Dress Down Day to support the victims in the Haiti earthquake that occurred on January 12, 2010.

Ms. Duffy's Fifth grade class decided it would be a great idea for the class to dress in the same color. As the students proceeded to discuss possible colors to wear a discussion of the earthquake in Haiti began to take place. A few students raised their hands to say that they had seen yellow ribbons tied on trees representing hope for the victims.  It was at that moment, collectively as a class, they all decided to wear the color yellow.

The school collected over $1,000. This donation will be given to the Catholic Relief Services. For more information or to donate to the Catholic Relief Services, please click on the icon below.
