On Friday, January 29, 2010, the Junior Woman's Club of Greater Brunswick hosted a Spelling Bee at the United Methodist Church in Milltown. Fourth and fifth grade students from two schools in Milltown were represented: Joyce Kilmer and Our Lady of Lourdes, totaling twenty-one students. First place winner was a fifth grade student from Our Lady of Lourdes with second and third places awarded to fourth and fifth grade students from Joyce Kilmer, respectively. The first place winner will move onto the State Spelling Bee at the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs.
