5th Grade Book Reports

Ever have a book come to life? The fifth grade class culminated the year by choosing a book of their choice. Books had to be at least 200 pages or more. Students had independent time to read in class. Students had to pay close attention to the main characters in their books. Upon presenting their book reports, students had to dress up as the main character, create a puppet for the character, as well as design a full size poster depicting the book. Mix it all together along with a great deal of creativity - their books came to life! The main characters came to class to discuss the book. We not only had fun creating our projects, but it certainly turned into a time when we didn’t want to put our books down!
