Math and
Science Club members have begun construction on model bridges. Club
members learned how to use geometric designs to engineer a bridge
that will stand up to the force of gravity. After the bridges are
completed, the members will test the breaking point of their bridges
by seeing how many textbooks they can hold. Then they will weigh an
individual textbook and multiply by the number of books to determine
the total weight that the bridge held during the experiment. The
winner of the Math and Science Club Bridge Contest will receive a
special certificate.
