About the teacher

I can honestly say that I have spent most of my lifetime in school as a teacher, a student, or both as a student and a teacher at the same time. I grew up in a country that was Communist, so I longed for being a part of a Catholic School.

When I was 12 years old, I was pretty sure about my vocation to the religious life, but I wasn’t so sure about what my future job would be. I was thinking about being a teacher and I promised myself that if I would be one, I would be an excellent teacher. The excellence meant respect for all students, always fair, creative, knowledgeable, and a good sense of humor (not just deadly serious all the time). Today, my passion for excellence means the same; a great place for every student since they spend much of their time here.

I entered the Congregation of the Little Servant Sisters of the Immaculate Conception twenty-five years ago. I graduated from the Theological University in Krakow and received my Master’s Degree in 1993. Also, I studied the methodology of teaching for two years in Krakow, so I could teach in Polish public schools. I was teaching Catholic Religion in different public schools in my country for ten years.

Then, my superiors decided to send me to the United States. Before I went to the United States, I studied English in the United Kingdom for one year.  In 2000, I continued my studies in the United States.  I studied Elementary Education in St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and graduated with a Masters of Arts in 2007. At the same time, I was a teacher in our Sisters’ Preschool and Day Care Blessed Edmund Early Childhood Educational Center in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

After graduation, I came to Our Lady of Lourdes School in Milltown and have taught second grade for three and a half years until now. Here, I put my good ideas about teaching into practice. I love teaching the second grade because it's the year of Holy Communion preparation. I share my faith with my students and they share their faith with me. It 's always a wonderful experience for me.

I give a lot of credit to Jesus who has always been next to me as my spouse, teacher, helper and best friend. My dream of becoming a Catholic School Teacher came true and now my "little light" shines.
